Star Wars Insider

Als Mitte der 90er das Star Wars-Fieber durch neue Romane und die angekündigten Prequels wieder richtig aufloderte, wurde aus dem Lucasfilm Fan Club nur noch The Fan Club bzw. der Official Star Wars Fan Club, und das ehemalige Lucasfilm Fan Club Magazine nannte sich fortan ab Ausgabe 23 Star Wars Insider. Ausgabe 31 brachte einen Herausgeberwechsel und den Umzug von The Fan Club, Inc. (Fantastic Media, Inc.) nach Denver mit sich. Ab Ausgabe 32 schlug sich dies auch in einem überarbeiteten Layout nieder und zwischen Ausgabe 35 und 36 wurde schließlich sogar von einer vierteljährlichen auf eine 2-monatliche Erscheinungsweise umgestellt.

Insider 51 markierte den Übergang zum neuen Herausgeber Wizards of the Coast. Die Ausgabe war noch vom alten Team erstellt worden, wurde jedoch trotz des angegebenen (und auch schon verspäteten!) Erscheinungszeitraums „October/November 2000“ tatsächlich erst im Dezember ausschließlich an die Abonnenten ausgeliefert und nicht an den regulären Handel. Im Impressum wird bereits Wizards of the Coast als Herausgeber genannt, das Heft führt dort aber trotzdem auch noch das alte Fantastic-Media-Logo.
