Marvel

Die allerersten Star Wars-Comics überhaupt stammen von Marvel, die bereits 1977 begannen, die Comicumsetzung des ersten Kinofilms zu bringen, die die ersten sechs Hefte der laufenden Reihe umfasste. Danach ging es nahtlos mit neuen Abenteuern weiter, die die Wartezeit bis zu den jeweils nächsten Episoden verkürzten.
Die Reihe brachte es auf 107 Ausgaben, zuzüglich einiger Specials. So erschien beispielsweise die Filmadaption zu Return of the Jedi im Gegensatz zu den Vorgängern nicht als Teil der Reihe.
Aufgrund der Masse finden sich die Marvel-Veröffentlichungen aufgeteilt auf drei Seiten. Neben denen von 1980–1982 finden sich noch: »1977–1979 • »1983–1986
